What the calculator measures
The formula is volume load = sets × reps × external load. For example, three sets of eight repetitions with 80 kg produce 1,920 kg of session volume load.
This is a bookkeeping measure, not a complete score for workout quality. It does not account for range of motion, proximity to failure, tempo, exercise leverage, or the stress of one movement compared with another.
How to make comparisons more useful
- Compare the same exercise variation and equipment.
- Keep technique and range of motion reasonably consistent.
- Separate warm-up sets when you want working-volume trends.
- Review effort and recovery beside the volume number.
- Look at several sessions rather than reacting to one workout.
